Neither Capitalism nor Marxism has been able to solve human problems arising out of liberalization, privatization and globalization. The whole world is in search of an alternative. The Gandhian alternative can provide solutions to contemporary problems such as unemployment, unequal distribution of wealth, violation of human rights, terrorism and poverty, if implemented in totality. Gandhian alternative in various forms is echoed in contemporary debates not just in India but also throughout the world.
