He is the author and co-author of a number of widely acclaimed textbooks on economics and management that sell in India and abroad .his books combine theoretical rigors and lucid exposition of the various concepts and theories of economics . M.L. Jhingan is an alumnus of the university of Delhi who after his M.A worked as research Assistant on a project of Dr. V.K.R.V Rao the then director, Delhi School of economics to postgraduate classes for over three decades and had been contributing to academic  journals .
