About the Authors

DR. D.C.Tayal (born on 1st March, 1947), at present is the Chairman in Ingenious e Brain Solutions Ltd. He taught Physics to the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate students for 42 years. He has worked as Head of Physics Department and the Principal. Afier retirement in 2009. He joined as Director, B.S. Anangpuria Educational Institutes, Alampur, Faridabad

He received his M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from Panjah University, Chandigarh on his experimental work on Nuclear Spectroscopy. He has published his research work in various International Journals of great repute and presented it in International Conferences abroad. He has published his first book on Nuclear Physics in 1973 and the second on Electricity and Electronics in 1975. He has written a book titled "University Practical Physics" with a concept of open ended experiments under the book writing scheme of UGC, New Delhi.

Praveen Tayal (born on 21st June, 1977), at present is the senior group leader in a multinational establishment. He did his M.F. (Mechanical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has been in the research and development section for most of the period and many patents are in his name. He has a great interest in learning new

things. He is pursuing for his Ph.D. in Computer Science from IIIT, Hyderabad. He has written many books on Electronics and published with Dr. D.C. Tayal as co-author

Need of this Book

Our nation is moving fast to achieve the past glorious position and implemented the New Education Policy to emphasis on conceptual understanding, rather than learning for exams. It is essential to develop the culture of creativity and critical thinking so that our undergraduate students can think for innovation. The universities are to make a thorough change in evaluation system to formulate the assessment for learning to discourage the couching and made easy type help book culture.

This text is written to fulfill this requirement of NEP.
